ATA Conference 2011

November 14, 2011

Christina, Geoff, Maia, and Mandy at the ATA conference in Boston.

The dust has settled on our trip to the 52nd Annual ATA Conference in Boston. We’ve now had some time to catch up on work, reflect on the sessions we attended and share what we learned with those who stayed behind in Seattle. Some of us were first-time conference attendees and the experience was both informative and a lot of fun. Maia presented on translating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and there was some lively discussion. Now it’s time to decide how we will implement all the valuable new information and tips we received on editing, renewable energy, technical writing, using the internet for terminology, and more!

This was one of the largest turnouts ever for an ATA Conference, but we were able to pick out familiar faces and attach some unfamiliar faces to all those emails and phone calls with freelancers from North Carolina to Iowa to Vermont and Texas at our happy hour event. Thanks, everyone, for coming by! We hope to see you all in San Diego next fall.
